In-service Teachers’ Perceptions Toward iPad Integration

In 2010 the state of Tennessee was one of only two states awarded the Race to the Top Grant in which they received approximately $500 million to develop and implement a comprehensive school reform plan for the next four years. Part of this reform involves replacing the Tennessee State standards with the Common Core Standards. This research expands previous research concerning the effectiveness of technology usage in the classroom and more importantly evaluated teachers’ attitudes or perceptions of iPad usage prior to implementation in the classroom and after implementation.
