After clicking on the "Material" icon on Merlot the user is taken to the home page of Queendom.com. The user then is required to put the title of the test into the search bar. Various tests appeared. There is both an abridged and regular version of this test. There is a discrepancy between the information on MERLOT and on Queendom.com as the test indicates 25 questions and on MERLOT it is reported to be 34 questions, so this may cause confusion for users. The questions themselves were well written and cover areas of insightfulness, verbal expression, assertiveness, listening skills and emotional intelligence. Personal information is collected and a number of behavioural questions are asked, to which users are not required to answer. Results appear immediately and the user is provided a sample report. Payment is required to receive an indepth report. There is no mention of what the difference is between a sample and indepth report. There is a validity report on the test (cronbach's alpha .89) and a clear description of what the user will get out of doing the test when the user clicks the ? icon. This is a good test if the user is using it for personal growth.

The information presented on within the site is easy to navigate. Participants have the option of taking the quiz without providing any personal information. Following the quiz questions, there is a significant amount of behavioral information requested. Participants have the option of not answering the behavioral questions being asked, but can still receive the results. Results are scored immediately.

Starts out as a real survey but then turns into a request for information that tries to sell the test taker into buying a full report.  One could take the quiz and not reveal any personal information and not buy the report, but the value of the site may be then diminished as the results show up as a percentage on a grid.

For fun, I took the quiz three times and gave the same answers on the first (and main) 25 questions. But I answered the personal data in wildly different ways each time.  Yet each time the percentage point of where I showed up on the grid was identical.

Lots of ads.
