A PDF from the Department of Health and Human Resources provides a slide that covers the journey of Thomas L. Patterson and his fight against a multi drug resistant infection. The slides are more like a collection of images and short sections of captions that provide an explanation. The photo shows their vacation in Egypt where he eventually developed an infection, an antibiogram which was likely in German. The source of the idea for phages can be seen in an article image, as well as an image of what a phage looks like. The ones apart of the phage hunt: Dr. Ry Young, and Lt. Commander Hamilton Theron can also be seen. Many images of Patterson’s condition are also shown along with the success articles and news that came after the treatment. A chart of the Phage Therapeutics at IPATH can be seen along with some patients that were treated with it. Images of articles also show the FDA approval for bacteriophage trials in 2019.
